1. Mykonos Town

Mykonos Town, also known as Chora, is the best overall area to stay in Mykonos without a car. It is the island’s capital and is renowned for its picturesque white-washed buildings, narrow winding streets, and vibrant nightlife, making it one of the most popular tourist destinations in Greece.

Staying in Mykonos Town allows you to explore the town’s charming streets, boutique shops, restaurants, and iconic landmarks like the windmills and Little Venice. You can easily access public buses and taxis from here to reach other parts of the island and its beaches.

Mykonos Town has two bus stations, located 20 minutes walk away from each other. The South Station, or Fabrika Station, and the North Station, or Old Port Station.

The Fabrika Station has buses to Platis Gialos, Paraga, Paradise, Ornos and Agios Ioannis. The Old Port Station has buses going to Ano Mera, Elia, Panormos and Kalafatis.
