Hi guys, on my website, I already wrote an article about Miami without a car (I will put the link to it at the end of this article). In today’s article, I will help you to find the best places to stay in Miami for families with kids.

I will share with you what I believe are the best areas to stay in Miami for families, along with a helpful map. I’ll also share where I stayed in Miami and recommend the best family-friendly hotels for all budgets.

Miami is the largest city in the Miami metropolitan area, located in southeastern Florida. It is often considered a gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean due to its strategic location.

The city is famous for its beautiful beaches, waterfront areas, and a tropical monsoon climate. It is also known for its diverse cultural scene, influenced by its large population of Hispanic and Latino residents. The city has a rich blend of cultures, which is shown in its cuisine, festivals, and art.

When visiting Miami, you can enjoy the vibrant nightlife of South Beach, visit the Art Deco Historic District, the Perez Art Museum Miami, the Frost Museum of Science, and Everglades National Park.

Miami has an extensive transportation network, including Miami International Airport, several highways, and public transportation options like Metrorail and Metromover.

Is Miami a good place to visit with family?

Yes, Miami is a great place to visit with family. Even though it is known for its nightlife and party, there are plenty of family-friendly things to do and see in the city.

Your family can enjoy beautiful beaches, like South Beach and Crandon Park, visit museums, aquariums, take a sightseeing cruise, visit Art Deco Historic District, and take a boat tour in Biscayne Bay.

Some of the popular attractions in Miami for children include the Miami Seaquarium, Jungle Island, Jet Boat Miami, as well as numerous cultural attractions such as the Frost Museum of Science, Miami Children’s Museum, Pérez Art Museum Miami, and Bayside Marketplace.

Where to stay in Miami for families with kids?

The best areas to stay in Miami for families with kids are Miami Beach, Key Biscayne,  Downtown/Brickell, Bal Harbour/Surfside, Coconut Grove, and Coral Gables. These are the city’s most popular tourist neighborhoods offering a variety of children-friendly attractions and amenities.

If your family wants a beach-centric vacation, I recommend that a hotel in Miami Beach, Key Biscayne, or Bal Harbour/Surfside may be ideal. If your family prefers a more cultural or upscale experience, Coral Gables or Coconut Grove could be the right fit.

Downtown/Brickell is convenient for families who want to explore the city’s diverse attractions such as the children-friendly Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) and Bayfront Park.

On my trip to Miami, I stayed at the 3-star good value for money Generator Miami in Miami Mid Beach. The hotel is located in a nice quiet area and offers easy access to the nightlife South Beach. Also easy walking distance from the beach, restaurants, shops, and public transportation.
