Where to stay in Phuket for families with kids: 6 Best areas

Hi guys, on my website, I already wrote an article about safe areas in Phuket for first-timers (I will put the link to it at the end of this article). In today’s article, I will help you to find the best places to stay in Phuket for families with kids.

I will share with you what I believe are the best areas to stay in Phuket for families, along with a map. I’ll also share where I stayed in Phuket and recommend some of the best family-friendly hotels for various budgets.

Phuket is a popular tourist destination located in the southern part of Thailand. It is the largest island in Thailand and is connected to the mainland by the Sarasin Bridge.

Phuket is renowned for its stunning beaches, vibrant nightlife, and a wide range of recreational activities. The island boasts numerous beautiful beaches, including Patong, Karon, Kata, and Kamala. Patong Beach is particularly famous for its lively atmosphere and entertainment options.

In addition to its natural beauty, Phuket has cultural attractions such as the Big Buddha, Wat Chalong, and the Old Phuket Town. These places showcase the island’s rich history and cultural heritage.

Phuket serves as a gateway to other nearby islands, making it a popular starting point for island-hopping adventures. Phi Phi Islands, James Bond Island, and Similan Islands are among the popular choices.

The island celebrates various festivals throughout the year, including Songkran (Thai New Year) and Loy Krathong. These events often feature parades, traditional ceremonies, and cultural performances.

Phuket has a tropical climate with a monsoon season from May to October. The high season, with drier and cooler weather, is typically from November to April.

Is Phuket a good place to visit with family?

Yes, absolutely. Phuket is a great destination for a family vacation, as it offers a variety of attractions and activities suitable for different age groups.

Your family can enjoy swimming in beautiful beaches, take part in a range of activities such as snorkeling, boat trips, elephant sanctuaries, and visit cultural attractions like the Big Buddha and Old Phuket Town.

Where to stay in Phuket for families with kids?

The best areas to stay in Phuket for families with kids are Karon Beach, Kata Beach, Kamala Beach, Bang Tao Beach, Patong Beach, and Phuket Town. These areas offer plenty of kid-friendly accommodations for all budgets and preferences.

In general, Karon Beach, Kata Beach, Kamala Beach, and Bang Tao Beach are great locations for families seeking a quieter and more relaxed atmosphere while still having easy access to Patong Beach.

Patong Beach is a great location for families who want a more vibrant scene with nightlife and entertainment. Phuket Town is best suited for families who are interested in exploring cultural and historical attractions, local markets, unique architecture, and don’t mind away from the beaches.

During my trip to Phuket, I stayed at the Hotel Clover Patong Phuket. It was a great hotel in central Patong, 5 mins walk to the beach, close to the center with many shops and restaurants. It is also a family-friendly hotel featuring comfortable family rooms, 2 swimming pools, and very good breakfast.
